Beyond blue and pink: Rethinking gender stereotypes through art

My painting 'Girl’, commissioned for the Canto D'Amore exhibition in Turin, Italy, on the upcoming International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, challenges stereotypes linked to girls, driven by my own experiences. Aligned with the UNiTE! campaign by the United Nations, it references the #metoomovement emphasizing the urgency of addressing violence against women and girls globally.

But my deepest motivation lies in empowering the next generation of girls who, from the moment they're conceived, are often boxed within the goals of prettiness, kindness, and fragility. As a passionate supporter for women artists and architects, also as someone who worked in big construction sites all my life and football player and fan, I believe in breaking these constraints to let girls reach their full potential. My painting is a call for girls to shatter limits and for a world where they can chase their dreams without bounds, be it through art, architecture or WTF they want.
